OTN: Georgia lawmakers are cracking down on Atlanta squatter issue with this new bill - The Sentinel

The Georgia Squatter Reform Act, introduced on Jan. 24, will expand criminal trespassing to those who enter private property for any period without consent from the owner.


Approximately 1,200 homes in Atlanta have been taken over by squatters, according to The National Rental Home Council trade group, Bloomberg reported.

OTN: Unrelated procedure revealed King Charles III’s cancer diagnosis - The Sentinel

Buckingham Palace released a press statement on Feb. 5 stating that King Charles III was diagnosed with cancer shortly after a successful non-related procedure at The London Clinic. 


A “corrective procedure” for Charles’ benign enlarged prostate took place at The London Clinic, a private hospital near Regent’s Park, where he stayed for three nights and was released on Jan. 29.

OTN: Famous ex-lawyer awaits retrial for killing his wife in Atlanta - The Sentinel

Claud McIver, 81, faced Georgia’s highest court for a plea deal on Friday, Jan. 26, in hopes of receiving lesser charges before the first steps of a long-awaited retrial.


In 2018, McIver was convicted of intentionally killing his wife and sentenced to life in prison.


Five years later, that conviction was overturned, changing McIver’s sentence to eight years with credit for time previously served.
